Shaun’s approach to Treatment is one of understanding that everyone’s experience with pain, discomfort, and challenges in their healing journey, is not the same from person to person. As such he prides himself in having a wide variety of tools and techniques to help people achieve their wellness goals. He is a big believer in the narrative that Massage Therapy doesn’t have to “hurt” to be helpful. He believes that Massage Therapy Treatments should be both relieving AND effective. Shaun is passionate about Fascial Release techniques that address restrictions and limitations in various layers of connective tissue that are invested and connected throughout our bodies.
Shaun also has a particular interest in an Osteopathic approach to treatment in which he has undertaken advanced Training courses in, and finds he is most effective when working with Neurological conditions, those living with persistent pain, and those suffering from Neck and Shoulder concerns. However he is more than happy to work with any presentations, age groups, and cultures.
Shaun has spent the last 4 years focusing on teaching at the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy across a broad spectrum of classes, from Neuromuscular Therapy, Clinical Assessment, Clinical Theory & Practice and Integrated Science, and giving back to the community that trained him. But he now returns to practice fulltime to focus that energy back into helping people regain their quality of life. Patient education is a big part of his treatment approach as he feels this helps give people the tools and empowers them to help manage their symptoms and get back to the things they love!
At this time Shaun offers direct billing to Pacific Blue Cross and those under the Telus Health Portal
